"Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?" Jesus answered, " I tell you, not sevem times, but seventy- seven times. ""(Mattheuw 18:21- 22)
There must be unlimited forgiveness(Luke 17:4).We must never tire of exerecising forgiveness the moment the offender is sorry.
God forgave us our debts (and what a debt), so we must forgive our debtors (Matthew 6:12). You want to be a half Christian? I mean, you only want to do things that easy for you to do , but what about completely forgive the person who hurt you? God did that! He completely forgave us! He set an example for us to follow; you want to be Christ like? Then forgive! Be mature, 'belem belem nunca mais to de bem, até o ano que vem', what kind of Christianity is this? His forgiveness on our part is predicated on our forgiving others. And what about Psalm 133:1 where it says "How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity"" or Romans 12:5, "So in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others." (or Corinthians 12:12-31). So why do you look down on people and judge them for their failures or for what they've done wrong? We have all sinned (Romans 3:23). We are all equal to Christ, why don't we accept each other the way we are? We should accept people for their failures too, no one is flawless!! What about following the way of love (Corinthians 14:1)? Love is a decision you have to make, and sometimes it won't be easy to love those who hurt you, ("...love your enemies" Matthew 5:44) but that is what God wnats and that is what Jesus did. Do you want to be Christ like? Forgive! Love!
